New CPEEA Executive Board

As of the deadline April 17th, 2020, 5pm......we have a slate of candidates for the executive offices of the CPEEA. They are as follows:

President: Kathy Commeret

Vice President (certified): Tim Olson

Vice President (support staff): Mandy Rodriquez

Treasurer: Sarah Weber

Secretary: Gina McCambridge


In addition, Lisa Czypera has stepped forward as a building rep for Pine Island EA and Sarah Anderson as EA rep for the High School. Thanks very much.

 Once the new school year starts we'll have to fill out the rest of the building and classification representation with building level selection run by the current representatives in those spots.  If you are interested in becoming involved in the CPEEA contact Kim Pfeiffer.

EA Contract Tentative Agreement

 Good morning, I am so happy to report we have reached a tentative agreement on our contract.  This is the result of hours and hours of preparation and bargaining.  Please thank the team for all of their hard work that they put in for YOU.  I will post a detailed summary of the changes and explanations below.  Here are a couple of reminders... Survey for Support Staff

Bargaining Update Days 2 and 3

This week, we met again on Tuesday and Wednesday with the district.  We had very productive discussions and made progress on some of our language proposals.  Specifically, we made progress on class sizes, which is really encouraging.   We are hopefully going to finish and resolve our language issues with the contract this week.  At this point, we have agreed to wait until the district gets more information on the state and federal funding to move forward with financial discussions.  With some of the recent information coming from the lawmakers in Lansing this week, we believe this will be beneficial for the union. Rather than settle for something less, when we really don't know what the reduction in per pupil is going to be, we will wait until we have a clearer picture of the funding and then move forward with financial negotiations.  My personal feeling is that lawmakers initially were trying to "scare" us into understanding that this could be a huge ...
