CPEEA Elections this Year!

Our bylaws and constitution call for an April election of officers in even-numbered years. We have 5 positions to be filled for the next 2 year terms of our Executive Board: President, VP Certified, VP Support Professionals, Treasurer and for Secretary. Any member in good standing who wishes to be placed on the ballot please send an email notification to your current president, Kim Pfeiffer and the current Secretary, Gina McCambridge. Send us your name and which office you would like to run for and do so by April 17th, 5:00pm. At that time your current Exec Bd will determine how to conduct the election and send out a notification. 

These are difficult times for all of us and we will need to make many adjustments to regular procedures. It is also a bargaining year and our bargaining committees continue their work. The Michigan economy has been devastated by this statewide shutdown, gas prices way down and sales tax revenues greatly reduced. The optimistic projections for next year's education budget will undoubtedly need to be revised and we could actually see a reduction in student foundation grants for the 2020-2021 school year.

EA Contract Tentative Agreement

 Good morning, I am so happy to report we have reached a tentative agreement on our contract.  This is the result of hours and hours of preparation and bargaining.  Please thank the team for all of their hard work that they put in for YOU.  I will post a detailed summary of the changes and explanations below.  Here are a couple of reminders... Survey for Support Staff
